Goompa, grandfather to Goombario
Goompa is Goombario's and Goombaria's grandfather in Paper Mario. At the start of the game, he is found fixing the veranda. After the earthquake caused by Kammy Koopa, he helps Mario find a Hammer and defeat Jr. Troopa.
Koopa Koot Favor[]
If you choose to do one of Koopa Koot's favors, Goompa gives you a Tape of Koopa Koot's, but it is never revealed what is on it.
Trivia[]
Goompa was originally planned to be a partner for Mario but was scrapped. However using a glitch to bypass the cutscene to unlock Goombario, it it possible to obtain Goompa as a partner, however if you attempt to switch partners while Goompa is in use the game will crash.
He's a Partner in Paper Mario, however having him by your side is only temporarily.
