Flower Points are points found in Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as well as other RPGs. Flower Points are a system of points that are used for special attacks. Mario and his allies share the same stock of Flower Points, so Mario has to replenish his Flower Points more oftenly. When Mario levels up, his Flower Points heal and Mario has the option to increase his total Flower Point amount by five, the only time to increase it. In Super Mario RPG, there are Flower Tabs, Flower Jars and Flower Boxes that Mario uses to increase his total Flower Point amount. In the Paper Mario series, Mario's Flower Points are usually healed by syrups and other healing items.
Flower Points are used by Mario's super/ultra jumping and hammer abilities, Mario's allies and abilities Mario can learn by wearing badges. There are several kinds of badges Mario can wear that affects the Flower Points themselves. Some badges increase the usage of Flower Points per attack and some badges decrease the usage of Flower Points per attack. The badge Happy Flower replenishes one Flower Point per turn as well. Allies of Mario in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door start out with two attacks that do not use up Flower Points. But, the later two abilities they learn use up Flower Points.
