Pokeys are tall, yellow cactuses seen in Dry Dry Desert. They are very spikey and can't be jumped upon unless Mario has a Spike Shield badge to do so. Attempting to attack directly without the correct Spike Shield badge will damage the attacker. They mainly attack by throwing parts of their spiky bodies at Mario. They can also call in reinforcements from the sand if their health is low or if they're alone. In later games, they will fall over onto Mario instead of attacking with their segments.
