The Sun is the ultimate source of light and life for the residents of Flower Fields. In Paper Mario, Huff N. Puff (One of Bowser's minions) invades Flower Fields, and uses an invention called the Puff-Puff Machine to pollute the skies and prevent the Sun from providing energy to the people of Flower Fields. When Mario finds the Sun, he is depressed, and believes that he has already lost the fight against Huff N. Puff. After Mario destroys the Puff-Puff Machine and defeats Huff N. Puff, the Sun happily returns to the sky, providing life and prosperity to Flower Fields.
