In Paper Mario

Warp pipes are modes of transportation used in all three Paper Mario games.

History[]

Paper Mario[]

In Paper Mario, warp pipes are found in several places, including the Toad Town Tunnels. The Toad Town Tunnels contain many Warp Pipes, teleporting to every level except for Shy Guy's Toy Box and Flower Fields.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the Rougeport Sewers have several warp pipes leading to many other levels in the game. The pipe in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door leading to Twilight Town is clogged until Mario talks with Darkly and asks how to go through it.

Super Paper Mario[]

In Super Paper Mario, there are warp pipes in the game, but there is no major gathering place of them. Merlon does give Mario the Return Pipe in Super Paper Mario, allowing Mario to return to Flipside from nearly any other location. There is a character in Super Paper Mario named Welderberg who can create Warp Pipes in a few seconds. He can make a warp pipe from Flipside to Flopside for 300 coins, Flipside Tower to Flipside Pit of 100 Trials for 100 coins and from Flopside Tower to Flopside Pit of 100 Trials for 100 coins.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star[]

Warp pipes function the same way as they did in Super Paper Mario, being used to take the player to other portions of the same level.

Paper Mario: Color Splash[]

In Paper Mario: Color Splash, warp pipes function like how they did in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and maintain a similar appearance, albeit more cardboard.

Paper Mario: The Origami King[]

Warp pipes continue to serve as transportation across areas, but there are now pipes that lead to different locations, similar to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
